Police Cracks Burglary Cases including ATM theft, 2 Held | KNO

Jammu and Kashmir Police has cracked burglary cases after it arrested the culprits and recovered stolen property worth lacs of rupees in Budgam.

During the course of investigation of case FIR No. 48/2017 under section 457, 380 RPC of  Police Station Magam,  an investigation team arrested two suspects identified as Mohammad Yaqoub Ganie alias Yaqqa son of Ghulam Rasool and Nisar Ahmad Ganie son of Abdul Aziz residents of Kawoosa Khalisa . During questioning these  suspects admitted that during the intervening night of 18/19-04-2017 they  committed the burglary from the Hardware shop located near Higher Secondary School Magam. They also admitted that they have decamped the ATM machine installed at Younsu  Handwara and taken away cash from it with the assistance of two more persons namely Arif Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Mohammad Mir resident of Mazhama and Ashiq Ahmad Gogri alias Niqqa son of Gh Qadir resident of Kawoosa.

        The  stolen property  and cash of Rupees 1,44,000/- have been recovered on their instance. Accused persons namely Mohamamd Yaqoub Ganie and Nissar Ahmad Ganie residents of Kawoosa have been handed over to Police Handwara today 09/08/2017, while other 02 accused persons are still at large. Efforts are on to nab all culprits.
